About
An independent, neutral, sourced encyclopaedic resource serving knowledge of milling heritage and large-gîte accommodation.
Our mission
"Minoterie" is first of all a common noun: the factory where grain is turned into flour. Our vocation is to make this often little-known industrial heritage known — its history, its techniques, its buildings — and, alongside, to help those seeking to understand the world of large gîtes in France.
Editorial principles
- Neutrality: an encyclopaedic tone, no disguised advertising or commercial bias.
- Sources: every article rests on verifiable references, cited at the foot of the page.
- Up to date: content is dated and reviewed, with a visible last-revision date.
- Clarity: precise definitions and a glossary to understand every term.
Our method
Content is written from public sources (history books, industrial heritage documentation, regulatory texts, official guides), then re-read and sourced before publication. Each page states its publication and update dates.
