Large gîtes

Large group gîtes

Bringing the whole family, or all your friends, under one roof: that’s the promise of a large gîte. “Large capacity” usually starts around 15 people, and the biggest properties go beyond 30 or 40 beds.

Typologies

  • The large country house: a renovated farmhouse, longère or manor
  • The converted character building: a mill, flour mill or barn
  • The multi-building estate: several lodgings around shared spaces

The criteria that matter

For a group, it’s often the details that make the difference:

  • The number of bedrooms and bathrooms (autonomy for couples and families)
  • The shared spaces: a large dining room, a lounge, a kitchen fit for a brigade
  • The leisure facilities: pool, spa, games room, generous outdoor space
  • Accessibility and parking

Sizing the project properly

Before booking, count the guests one by one, see who sleeps where, and think about the season. That’s what determines the capacity you really need — and avoids nasty surprises on arrival.
